Of course this is just a temporary job, but I am learning a lot. I have been working at a really fancy grocery store in one of the wealthier areas of Los Angeles. In fact I have sort of gotten a bit of work on the side from a couple of the regular customers here. For instance this one person wanted to know if we had kopi luwak for sale. At first I had no clue what that is, but it is a really expensive and rare gourmet coffee. We did not have it, but I found a place that did and that was how I sort of got to be the personal shopper for this person. I would guess that he is a semi famous person that some people would recognize if I dropped his name. However that is not relevant. Instead it just matters that I deliver his groceries to him and he gives me a really nice tip. It is well worth my time and effort. Of course he is really busy and it is not a big deal for him to pay me well to run his errands for me.
I did not know anything about Kopi Luwak when I started out doing this, but it is a really weird thing and this guy seems to like it mostly for all of the jokes you can squeeze out about it's origins. The kopi luwak coffee beans have been eaten by the asian palm civet, which sort of looks like a raccoon or an oppossum in size and characteristics. So obviously the beans went in one end of this civet thing and out the other end. It is very expensive and apparently the digestive enzymes of the animal are supposed to have some effect on the beans that is desirable.Click Here
